SMM Panel API Explained: A Practical Guide for Resellers

If you run your own SMM panel, a Telegram bot or a client website, you do not want to place every order by hand. That is what the SMM panel API is for. The good news: almost every panel uses the same simple format, often called "API v2". Learn it once and you can connect to most providers in minutes.

How the API works

Every request is an HTTP POST to one URL — on AstroSMM that is https://astrosmm.com/api/v2 — with two parameters that never change:

• key — your secret API key, created in your account;
• action — what you want to do.

Responses come back as JSON. There are six actions you will use all the time.

1. services — get the catalogue

Returns every service with its ID, name, category, type, rate per 1,000, minimum and maximum quantity, and flags for refill, cancel and drip-feed. Your panel imports this list and applies its own markup.

2. add — place an order

Send the service ID, the link and the quantity. You get an order ID back.

Drip-feed orders add runs and interval; custom comment services take comments, one per line.

3. status — track orders

Ask for one order with order, or many at once with orders (comma-separated). You get the charge, start count, status and remains — everything you need to show progress to your own customers.

4. balance — check your funds

Returns your balance and currency. Check it before big batches and alert yourself when it runs low.

5. refill — restore drops

On services with a refill guarantee, request a refill for an order and check its progress with refill_status.

6. cancel — stop orders that have not started

For services that allow it, cancel one or several orders before delivery begins.

Connecting AstroSMM to your panel

Most SMM panel scripts have a "Providers" or "API providers" page. Add a new provider, enter https://astrosmm.com/api/v2 as the URL and paste your API key. Then import the services you want to sell and set your margin. Bots and custom websites can call the same URL with any HTTP library.

Best practices for resellers

• Never expose your key in front-end code or public repositories. Every order placed with it is charged to your balance.
• Prevent double orders. If your request times out, retrying can create a second order. On AstroSMM you can send an Idempotency-Key header so a retry returns the original order instead.
• Poll sensibly. Checking status every few minutes is plenty; batch IDs with orders.
• Re-sync services regularly. Rates, limits and availability change — update your prices so you never sell below cost.
• Pass refills through. If your customers can request refills, forward them with the refill action.
